SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, which is the communication protocol for electronic mail transmissions. Most common email providers have their own SMTP Server email address.
Most email providers will also allow this communication across a specific port on the network, which is the SMTP Server Port.
TLS stands for Transport Layer Security when sending emails from email providers accounts. Having such a layer will often require a specific security password to be generated and used with third party applications such as the Guardian Series. Most TLS ports are 587.
