Hour many hours will my battery last?
The Reveal 300 has over 6 hours of usage when fully charged and the flashlight is not being used. If the flashlight is always left on, the batter will only last 3 ½ hours.
How far can my Reveal 300 see?
It depends on the size of the object. However, according to Johnson's Criteria, which is based on a 2 meter tall person, you can expect the following:
- Detection Range - 758m (2,486')
- Recognition Range - 190m (623')
- Identification Range - 108m (350')
Is the battery replaceable?
Yes, the battery is replaceable by an authorized trained dealer. Please contact support@thermal.com for more information.
What is the file format of images and videos?
Images are saved as a .JPG and video are saved as .MP4 files.

What is survey mode?
Survey is a monochromatic filter of different shades of blue which turn white around warmer areas. This mode is optimal for helping locate downed personnel and victims during search and rescue. The colorization is as follows: Below 150F (65C) is blue scale. 150C to 250C (65C to 120C) ranges from white to yellow to orange, with yellow used at approximately 195F (90C). From 250F to 300F (120C to 150C) the color range is from orange to red.
How do I know if my Reveal 300 is running the latest firmware?
The latest firmware released is the initial firmware version for Reveal 300, v37.27.0.19. This is displayed very quickly on the splash screen when you first power on the device.
Why do my images and video date codes say 1979?
Reveal 300 cameras are designed with simplicity in mind, to minimize distracting menus and settings, and prioritize the best thermal image quality on the screen. As such, our camera does not have a setting to adjust or keep time. All images will default to 12-31-1979 which is the default computer filesystem date code.
Does my Reveal 300 need to be returned for recalibration? If so, how often?
